Sugarbush 3/17/07

15″ of fresh according to there measurements.  It never sleeted or rained up there, unfortunately it did at home, making shoveling out very heavy Cry.  We started out at Mt. Ellen with some freshies, before going over to the castle rock area. The castle rock area was kind of wind scoured, transitoning from bullet proof to pow inconsistently. Later we returned to the Mt. Ellen area and even got a little slide brook action.  The flat out from there was a slow walk.  But the conditions over there were worth the walk.

This has been on my punchlist for a while now, and I didn’t get to explore very much, so I’ll have to go back for more.  I was short on time, so I only slow-shoed up to the jct. of Manning and Duke’s.  Conditions were slow and sticky, but good cover.
